I am a 19 yo female with diagnosed scoliosis and a rotated ribcage. Recently I find that when I inhale at a certain volume my back "pops" in a certain area... I have not tried to pin point the area with astethoscope but it feels like it between my shoulder blades. It happens every couple of breaths. I have compensated by breathing more shallowly but ocassionally I will take a deep breath and my back will pop. I understand that your bones normally creak and moan but Its slightly uncomfortable.... unlike the sense of relief when I crack my knuckles. Im only worried because I dont want it progressing into arthritis or a pinched nerve. Should I go to the doctor and get an xray.... or am I just being an overly sensitive hyperchondriac with touchy nerves?
Thanks!
